What's on the wall
“as a record and vinyl collector, this is now one of my favorite stores in the mall!”
“Really reminds me of Camelot and Musicland that used to be in the mall.”
From the reviews
We have been shopping at this store since it opened and have been several times. Today we lined up for RSD and it was a really great experience all the way around. We met the owner. Joe, and he was incredibly friendly and helpful.
I was totally and completely floored by the selection here. In a mall record store (which I thought no longer existed anywhere) even! Staff was awesome and it was just about one of the best record store experiences I've had. I've been to dozens in my life. Pricing might be a tad high, but hey...it's in a mall.
as a record and vinyl collector, this is now one of my favorite stores in the mall! i found almost everything i was looking for. (i’ll definitely be back to hopefully find some NSYNC, haha) i love that they had everything from vintage 1930s to modern day rap and pop CD’s and vinyls.
Great place! Friendly staff as well! Though I do ask if you guys can add Tokio Hotel CDs? I go to Joes records everytime I go to the mall and I never see Tokio Hotel.
Selling or trading gear at Joe's Records Springfield
Joe's Records Springfield comes up for buying and trading used gear — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the trip go better. First, bring the whole package: the case or gig bag, the original tremolo arm or bridge parts, the paperwork if you have it — a complete rig is worth real money more than a bare instrument, and it saves the back-and-forth of "can you bring the case in?" Second, know that trade credit almost always beats the cash offer, usually by a healthy margin — if you're upgrading anyway, price your old gear as a trade against the new one before you take cash. Either way, expect the offer to be below what the gear sells for on the wall; the gap is the store's margin for setup, warranty, and sitting on it until the right buyer walks in.
