From the reviews
Stopped by for a quick look after a nice big lunch at Farmhouse Cafe just around the corner. Super nice staff who greeted us immediately and made us feel at home. Nice selection of guitars and I found the Fender Californian Model I was looking for along with a ultra cool Peavy Amp.
The store owner was a very nice and knowledgable man. I didn't catch his name but he answered all of my questions about bass guitars and even let me try out a few of them! The interior of the business felt small, but comforting in it's intimacy. Musical equipment lines the walls, some behind glass and some on display.
I have known Chip for many years. One of my good friends. He always treats you nice and price matches any sales. Love the place. Chip hires college students to teach musical lessons and sends evaluations to SHSU as part of their grades for their music degrees.
Very helpful and friendly owner and employees. Got a great deal on a whole electric setup that sounds fantastic. My go-to and only choice for anything guitar/music now. You should definitely check this place out and support a nice local business!
Selling or trading gear at One Music Square
One Music Square comes up for buying and trading used gear — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the trip go better. First, bring the whole package: the case or gig bag, the original tremolo arm or bridge parts, the paperwork if you have it — a complete rig is worth real money more than a bare instrument, and it saves the back-and-forth of "can you bring the case in?" Second, know that trade credit almost always beats the cash offer, usually by a healthy margin — if you're upgrading anyway, price your old gear as a trade against the new one before you take cash. Either way, expect the offer to be below what the gear sells for on the wall; the gap is the store's margin for setup, warranty, and sitting on it until the right buyer walks in.
