From the reviews
This is the most incredible drum shop I've ever seen! I would list this as a main attraction to Rochester,NY. Service is out of this world, friendly atmosphere and overall excellent experience. Don't bother shopping anywhere else. Prices are very reasonable for you're getting. 5 star experience!
I enjoy checking out the gear. Lots of great vintage kits. If you just need a snare he has probably over 100 in stock.
This has to be the best drum shop I’ve ever had the fortune of setting my eyes upon. The drums have a quality to them that you won’t see anywhere else. They sound great as well. Rochester Drum Trade is an amazing store and everyone should go at least once, drummer or not.
Ben is one of the BEST Drum store owners! Always a great conversation and transaction with him. Goes the extra mile to make sure your purchase is handled with care. Thanks Rochester Drum Trade!
Selling or trading gear at Rochester Drum Trade
Rochester Drum Trade comes up for buying and trading used gear — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the trip go better. First, bring the whole package: the case or gig bag, the original tremolo arm or bridge parts, the paperwork if you have it — a complete rig is worth real money more than a bare instrument, and it saves the back-and-forth of "can you bring the case in?" Second, know that trade credit almost always beats the cash offer, usually by a healthy margin — if you're upgrading anyway, price your old gear as a trade against the new one before you take cash. Either way, expect the offer to be below what the gear sells for on the wall; the gap is the store's margin for setup, warranty, and sitting on it until the right buyer walks in.
